It starts at different levels of TAXABLE income (that is, after deductions, etc.) depending on your filing status. For 2006, the 35% bracket starts at: Single Over $336,550 Married filing jointly Over $336,550 (not each!) Married filing separately Over $168,275 Head of household Over $336,550 |
