Does anyone know how much income is in which bracket? I think my husband and I must have jumped up into the next tax bracket or something cuz for the first time in 27 years we have to pay in?!!? This sux! Taxable income is over - But not over - The tax is: Of the amount over - $0 $7,550 $0 + 10% $0 7,550 30,650 755.00 + 15% 7,550 30,650 74,200 4,220.00 + 25% 30,650 74,200 154,800 15,107.50 + 28% 74,200 154,800 336,550 37,675.50 + 33% 154,800 336,550 - 97,653.00 + 35% 336,550 Source(s): http://www.money-zine.com/financial-plan... Congratulations! It is a bitter award but you must be doing better now. it doesn't follow you wound up in a higher bracket. you may just not have enough deductions to lower your taxes. if you have been deducting interest on a home mortgagae, without a newer mortgage, you just don't have enough interewst to deduct to9 keep you from owing. if youy are claiming 1 or 2 on your w2's, try reducing it to 0, and then you'll usually not yhuave to pay in but will get some back since it has already been paid in during the year. also, if you aren't using a preparer to do your taxes, you should. they know more ways to save you money than most even think possible. for the tax filing go for this site. this site will help u file tax returns and also benifit u by providing tax deductions. try this out and file the tax . good luck http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-1167113-104... |
