How do you do taxes on a calculator for Example $ 14.89+ tax ? |
Just wanted to know how to tax something on a calculator, if you answer please be detail oriented. isn't it 8.250% ??? If the tax rate is 8.25%: Price*1.0825=total You add 1 to the tax amount (.0825) so the original value will be added in as well. If you just multiply by .0825 then your answer will just be the tax and not the cost. 14.89 x percent of your tax (like 6 %) then add to 14.89. Answer is 15.78 You just multiply it by one point whatever the tax is. For example $14.99 + 6% tax = 14.99 x 1.06 = $15.8894. it is very simple, always add 1 before the decimal and 0 after the decimal (1.0825) and multiply by your number (14.89)... if the tax is like 8% then again the same thing (1.08 * $14.89) |
