Tax Credits! How?

I keep reading about "Tax Credits". What are they and how do you qualify? Thanks for looking in.

Well there are two elements.

Working tax credits and child tax credits.

You need to be working and earning less than 拢58,000 to be eligible for childs tax credits.

You need to have children and be a couple with one partner working over 16 hours to claim the childs tax credits.

to qualify if single you need to be working 30hours a week and earn less than i think its about 拢10,000 a year.
If married with kids you can still get it. The amount depends on both incomes get an info pack from DHSS it will explain better and how to apply.
