Do We Qualify For Tax Credits?

We where getting Working Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit, It came to roughtly 拢150 a week, We go a letter yesterday we no longer qualify for working tax and we have to repay 拢500.

I earn 拢10,400 a year after tax or 拢12,790 before my girlfriend earns 拢4160 a year after tax.

well both me and my partner earn 11,000 a year each think my partner may be on a little more ?after tax and we get child tax credit but we are not entile to tax credits where u can get free eye tests ect, i would look in to it further if i was u

You may get away without paying the money back I know of 2 people who have owed mney for 2/3 years. The system is in such a bad state that they dnot appear to have the resources to collect overpayments.
Contest it they're wrong
Ask them to look at it again because that doesnt sound right to me.
i used to have workings tax this stopped because they said our joint income is over 15000 year but i could have child tax but this as also stopped now because they said they over paid me and i have received all I'm entitled to for this year it pays for us to be either to be on dole or an illegal immigrant why work are b******** off we may as well sit on are arses all day they might gives something for that
It depends on circumstances. how many children you have etc. i need more information. And they will chase you for the money , it may take a few years but they won't forget. i owed 拢400 from 03/04 and started paying it back late last year.
