"War isn't working" - - Agreed. But it's equally true that the tax cuts ARE working? |
So wouldn't that make Bush an OK President, rather than a very bad or very good one? The Dow Jones is over 13,000 and setting record highs, earnings are up, profits are up, mergers are up, acquisitions are up, taxes are down, tax revenue is up, interest rates are down, homeownership is at record highs, consumer spending is up, savings and investments are up, and the economy is growing at it鈥檚 fastest rate in over 20 years! But liberals insist that Bush is the worst president every because of Iraq? Hardly! Only if you think that: 1. Everyone benefits from his tax cuts, and 2. His success as a President can be measured on only two issues. Not when we are setting record deficits with all the money we are BORROWING to pay for this war. WOW. edit: Hey Truth, I appreciate you keeping your response civil. Keep up the manners and Thanks! The problem with tax cuts is that they help the economy in the short run, but can not be sustained over a long period of time without causing tremendous deficits. You are nuts if you think everyone has benefited from his tax cuts. everyone has not benefitted those cuts take away from programs people need. those cuts are benefitting the rich more than the majority of people Who is the everyone that is benefiting from the tax cuts? Big oil? How are they working? They are not enough to cover the gas prices. Get a clue, we are heading into a recession fast, tax cuts or no because fuel prices are driving up everything else. Yeah drew blood you just named the things that the top 30% income level people are enjoying. The other 70% is drawing out their savings to pay for everything else. |
