How does a tax rate cut for the wealthy hurt the poor? |
Especially when these rate cuts cause an increase in tax revenue. It doesn't. It just feeds the Democrats tactic of creating false class warfare. It doesn't. It just enables more people to become wealthy. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news... http://www.nytimes.com/specials/downsize... http://www.bls.gov/opub/mlr/1988/05/art1... http://www.frbsf.org/econrsrch/wklyltr/e... http://www.dallasfed.org/fed/annual/1999... http://money.cnn.com/2005/05/25/pf/recor... http://money.cnn.com/2005/09/28/news/eco... http://money.cnn.com/2006/03/28/news/eco... http://www.heritage.org/research/labor/b... It doesn't punish the wealthy for being wealthy. Because that is less money for 'social spending'. A fancy word for WELFARE. Rate cuts create tax revenue? in what universe? Supply-side, trickle down economics is a stupid idea that doesn't work. It didn't work for Reagan, it didn't work for the grown-up Bush, it isn't working for the Shrub. It absolutely does not hurt the poor. The wealthy are the ones that feed the economy, their spending influences pricing more than any group. As they are taxed it raises prices on everyone. Actually,it helps the poor as more money is left available for charitable giving or investment which creates jobs. To Dems tax money is power, the power to buy the votes of gullible people. |
