Tax Reform?

Every year the federal government gets an update on your personal life.

They find out where you live, how much you pay in interest on your mortgage, how many children you have, their SS numbers, by default where they go to school, how much you make, how you spend your money, what investments you have, if you have a second home, received inheritances, been seriously ill, have a business, how much it makes or loses, who works for you.

I could go on.

Isn't it time that America breaks this unreasonable intrusion into the private lives of every law abiding American?

Isn't it time to do away with the IRS and the withholding system and annual tax returns?

Isn't it time for the Fair Tax to be give a fair hearing in Washington?

I agree. A candidate that supported and truly intended to implement the fair tax would almost certainly be a shoe-in for the office for which he was running. I don't understand why the major candidates refuse to address the issue. America wants our tax system overhauled.

We should be able to fill out taxes on a post card. income minus single/married deduction, minus dependent deduction, times 10%.
