In Washington State, can you file to get unclaimed tax refunds from 2000?

I worked a little bit in 2000 and have about $50 tax withheld that I never bothered to file for, and now I'm wondering if I could file to get that money, or if it's to late.

Since WA doesn't have a state tax, I assume you're talking about federal.

It's too late to get a refund from 2000 - you'd have had to request that by April of 2004. You have three years from the due date of the original return to claim a refund - after that, it's lost.
I'd contact the State Treasurer's office:

Or if you have a friend in Washington who is a tax adviser, I'd ask him/her.
