Unlikely. If one of you have a very low taxable income or separate net income (in the region of less than $6K) then the other can claim them as a dependent for a tax offset. See here:

Apart from that, unless you have children and are entitled to Family Tax Benefit, there are no tax breaks for being in a couple.
yes, but it depends on how much you earn. I only earned about $2000 - $3000 in a year and so on my husbands tax return he got an extra $1500approx. for looking after me, so to speak. if you do your tax through ETax it goes through all of that for you.
