Why don't we all pay the same amount of tax,We all use the same services etc. Please think before you answer

Well firstly, we don't all use the same services. I pay tax, but don't have any children in education. I pay council tax, but don't use the (subsidised) swimming pool or the library, or have street lighting.
I'm all for everyone paying the same tax (especially if you include all the scroungers), but 拢580bn expenditure over 60m people is 拢10k each (inc kids, OAPs etc)
In the UK, we all pay the same level of VAT, we all pay the same banded rate for our council tax.

Which tax are you refering to?
We may use some of the same services, but some of us use more than others. If I required Medicaid because of low income and a recurring illness and were single, the cost to the government is lower than someone who may have several children to care for, who may have lost their spouse.
"We all use the same services etc"

we don't though.. not being funny.. cost of living is higher in london than it is in dunno some village far out in the sticks.. and you don't need street cleaners for the fields etc.

what about them city fat cats who are shamefully doing some tax scams and paying less than their cleaners who are on a minimum wage.

we don't use the same things though, also it should be in proportion to what we earn..

as for the house thing, u think someone should pay the same amount for a 1 bedroom flat as someone with a mansion.

we don't all have access to the same services i would disagree, otherwise people would be taking advantage even more.. e.g. people wanting tatoo removal on the nhs...

they tried to put in proportion to what we earn, but sometimes that doesn't work..e.g. pensioners refusing to pay silly money on council taxes and going to jail.

family members worked all their life, and have saved etc. but others get stuff free and didn't bother to work.. due to buying their own place etc many many years ago, they are paying rather expensive council tax.. (it doubled in recent years), so you get punished for NOT claiming, and grafting. that annoys me.

so it depends on many factors.
Its the curse of a social economic system. You tax the rich to help the poor.
Social equality and justice. We have to look after society collectively for defence, law, etc, etc but then there are people who are born disadvantaged by mental , physical or other disadvantages that prevent them from having the same opportunities in life as others and therefore need to be "included in society" and not "excluded". The only way to achieve this is for the more advantaged people with higher earnings to pay a higher proportion of taxes. Don't forget that some people are high fliers and then fall foul of society and become casualties that need looking after. There will always be those at both extremes of society who pay little tax if any but thats a question for government. The main aim is to look after the majority fairly.
