How much does it cost to file your taxes by someone (not e-file or computer software)? |
I have 4 years of taxes to file including this year. How much does it cost a year? They're all W-2 forms and I'm single, pay rent at my parents house, amd for some years I have more than 1 w-2 form. personally, i charge 25 per year, so look in the paper under situations wanted to find a retired tax preparer willing to do it real cheap. keep in mind that you could do this yourself with a little bit of confidence. go to taxact.com's site, download the software and do it yourself. they ask you questions, you answer them and then most of the work is done for you. just fill in the forms exactly as they ask and answer the questions to the best of your ability. Remember one thing. . . after you file, if you have found out that you made a mistake you have several years to fix it, so it's really not that difficult. hope this helps - good luck. Source(s): http://www.taxact.com It sounds like simple returns. They usually cost about 40-50 bucks to get someone to fill out the returns for you. Thats a normal year. I'm not sure about back years but that should'nt cost you more for filing charges (you may owe uncle sam some late fees). Shop around I would not pay more than $200 for all and would think someone might do it for a little more than a franklin if you get lucky. |
