Do you think a tip for good service should be taxed or do you consider it a gift ?

Do you think a tip for good service should be taxed or do you consider it a gift ?

I would consider it a gift, enough things are taxed already!
Unfortunately, in the eyes of the IRS, "gifts" are taxed at an even higher rate than income! Personally, I view tips as compensation, and so does Uncle Sam. And how many servers out there actually report all of their tip income?
I think that everybody should get a liveing wage and the resturant owners should be taxed double as tips subside the slave labor pay that resturants get away with.
