Started Saturday (08/03 until 08/14) clothes, school supplies etc. there is a price cap though. go to www.myflorida.com and look up TAX FREE HOLIDAY We get two a year One for Hurricane supplies and the other for back to school Hope this helps Tax Free Days are August 4th through August 13th for you folks in Florida. This only applies to the following items: Clothing and related items with a sales price of $50 or less, Books with a sales price of $50 or less, School supplies with a sales price of $10 or less. You can buy a hundred books at $45 and they would be tax free, however if you buy one book with a sales price of $55 it is not exempted from sales tax during this period.
