if so, about how much more did you get back? No, you claim a renters credit but is like $63bucks in a $1k/mo rent so, $63 is $63 buck, it makes a nice dinner... for one. :0) If you are paying rent may be u want to look into rent to own, now you are talking big deductions! umm... no... never... assuming you are in the usa, planet earth. CPA Not in the USA you don't, at least at the Federal level. In some states, you can get a credit, if your utilities are not covered in the rent. But, I've never heard of being able to claim your total rent. I doubt you can get a tax refund from paying rent. Why the mean face? No, rent is not tax deductible. |
