Traveling from England to Greece by car any ideas on car insurance ?

You should check your existing policy - you will get basic third party cover in other EU countries but possibly not in non-EU countries so unless you are planning on getting the ferry from Italy to Greece you will probably need to extend your cover.

Similarly if you want comprehensive cover abroad you will need to tell your insurance company and generally have to pay more to extend the cover to the rest of Europe.

First point of contact is your insurance company

If purchasing in the United Kingdom:
AA Five Star from the AA group, although the RAC and Britannia also have similar policies. Basic insurance is quite often part of most UK policies (it was know as the green card) but it is best to have comprehensive insurance as noted above.
